Male age spots tend to occur in men over the age of 40. It is the same for the female of the species and there is no difference between men and
women in this respect. The cause of male age spots is well known and is none other than those ultraviolet rays from the sun which are the major
cause of damage to our skin. Our skin contains a pigment known as melanin and excessive exposure to the sun can cause this pigment to increase
which results in the appearance of these male age spots.

Can male age spots be removed? There are a number of treatments including skin sanding, freezing or the use of lasers all of which work by
removing the skin cells that make up the spot. A gentler solution is to use a moisturizing cream formulated for the purpose. Look for the ingredient
Extrapone Nutgrass which is plant extract that is particularly effective in reducing the melanin in our skin.
